Bunion Surgery

Bunion surgery relieves ongoing pain, restores normal joint alignment and creates a persistent support network capable of maintaining the patient’s effectiveness. A small incision is made at the side of the patient’s big toe joint. Then, the removal or realignment of soft tissue, bone and other materials takes place. Small wires, screws or plates can then support the foot’s bones. All patients are comforted by a regional anesthetic. In some cases, a sedative may be used.
